Job summary

University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) invites applications for the Learning Centers Coordinator within Residential Life. You will oversee learning spaces like Sunset Learning Center, De Neve spaces, and Maker Space, driving programs that enhance academic success and community engagement for Bruin students.

You will coordinate major events, supervise three interns, and partner with campus units to align initiatives with student needs and university priorities.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate meetings, prepare, and deliver professional presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse audiences in high-volume settings to build relationships.
• Knowledge of Residential Life, student development, and community development.
• Basic accounting principles and financial record keeping to monitor budgets.
• Ability to plan and manage large and small-scale programs and events.
• Experience implementing student-facing programs from start to finish.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple active projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, implementation, and assessment of Learning Center operations, programs, events, and resources.
• Coordinate large-scale initiatives such as Concerts on the Hill, WeMake - Maker Fair, Tech Fair, and Bruin Day activations.
• Supervise and train three student interns supporting programming for student success, wellness, creativity, and community engagement.
• Foster partnerships with campus departments and faculty to strengthen collaboration across Residential Life and Student Affairs.
• Assess student interests, develop communications and resources for residents, and identify programs meeting needs.
• Support Learning Center operations including Maker Space and Gaming Lounge.
