Summary

The Learning and Development Specialist, part of the Learning and Development team, will engage in projects aligning learning solutions with business priorities. Responsibilities include managing training events, maintaining training records in the Learning Management System (LMS), and creating learning content using various Instructional Design platforms.

Essential Functions
  1. Assist in planning and executing organization-wide talent development programs and performance management processes.
  2. Oversee the New Hire Orientation program to ensure its effectiveness and consistency.
  3. Collaborate with the local HR team to deliver the New Hire Orientation program.
  4. Design and develop training programs using instructional design methodologies, technologies, and adult learning principles.
  5. Lead the Train-the-Trainer program for internal technical trainers.
  6. Participate in learning project teams to foster positive, collaborative partnerships across the organization.
  7. Provide logistical support for training events, including scheduling and operations for local and remote locations.
  8. Work with HR and business leaders to identify training gaps and opportunities.
  9. Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and Employee Resource Groups.
  10. Create interactive eLearning content to support L&D initiatives.
  11. Support the SCA Internship program, including recruitment, onboarding, and integration activities.
  12. Administer and utilize the LMS to build, schedule, enroll, track courses, and generate reports, providing technical support as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in learning and development or instructional design.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (preferably SumTotal).
  • Experience with Instructional Design tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia.
  • Experience facilitating in-person training, workshops, and sessions with large groups.
