Job summary

City of Cheyenne is seeking a Learn to Skate Instructor to assist in teaching classes and planning the ice show. You will work under the Ice & Events team to create lesson plans and deliver engaging instruction.

The role requires prior teaching experience, active memberships with PSA/USFSA/Learn to Skate USA, and CER certification with insurance. Availability includes evenings and weekends; part-time hours apply. Must be at least 16 years old.

Qualifications

• Must have teaching experience in skating.
• Member in good standing with PSA, USFSA, and Learn to Skate USA.
• CER certification and insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist head instructor and plan lessons and ice shows.
• Create lesson plans and teach classes.
• Recruit new skaters and lesson participants for the program.
• Evaluate student progress and assign placements.
• Record student and course information and issue certificates.
• Ensure guest safety and enforce program procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with staff and guests.
• Attend all scheduled classes.
