Job summary

City of Casper seeks enthusiastic Learn-to-Skate instructors to guide skaters of varying ages and abilities on the ice. You will plan, demonstrate, and supervise classes, ensuring safety and a positive experience while fostering confidence in each participant.

Classes are typically 30 minutes and occur Mondays at 5:30 p.m. Instructors should enjoy teaching, encourage others, and maintain professional behavior in a public arena setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience in a specialized class or program such as ice skating or fitness.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred within six months of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred for Level II with age 18+.

Responsibilities

• Plans, instructs, and supervises participants in a specialized class or program (ice skating, fitness, sports).
• Maintains attendance and class records.
• Prepares class summaries and instructional materials.
• Explains and demonstrates activity techniques to participants.
• Maintains a safe environment for participants.
• Provides general customer service and communicates policies and information.
• Represents City of Casper with professionalism and courtesy.
• Performs other duties of similar nature or level.
