The YMCA of the Pikes Peak region is seeking an enthusiastic Learn & Play Associate in Colorado Springs to guide children’s learning and growth through play. This role emphasizes a positive and supportive environment where all individuals are welcomed.

Your responsibilities include planning curricula, supervising activities, and ensuring safety. Candidates should be at least 16 years old with CPR/AED certification preferred. Enjoy benefits such as a free family membership and program discounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Experience with children leading recreational activities preferred.
• Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration certification.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare, plan and implement a weekly curriculum.
• Supervise and participate with participants during all activities.
• Provide discipline for participants that is age appropriate.
• Possess a working knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrate proper care and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children.
• Primary Responder for all accidents and incidents.
• Supervise locker rooms and swim with children.
• Complete routine and required forms.
• Prepare snack or meals as assigned.
