Job summary

Creative Play Centers/Adventure Clubs in Colorado Springs is seeking energetic Program Leaders to engage with elementary-aged children during school days, holidays, and summer camps. You’ll lead games, crafts, STEM activities, read stories, and support homework, all while building positive relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Successfully complete all required Colorado background checks, fingerprinting, and state clearances before employment.
• Meet all Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements for school-age childcare staff.
• Complete required orientation and ongoing professional development training.
• Be able to actively supervise children, participate in indoor and outdoor activities, lift up to 30 pounds, and accompany children on walking trips and field trips.

Responsibilities

• Lead games, sports, crafts, STEM projects, and outdoor activities.
• Read stories, help with homework, and encourage creativity.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Supervise children during indoor play, outdoor activities, field trips, and daily transitions.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Help keep classrooms organized, clean, and ready for fun.
• Follow company policies and Colorado childcare licensing requirements.
• Loves working with elementary-aged children.
• Has a positive attitude and a great sense of humor.
• Is energetic, dependable, and responsible.
• Enjoys being active and participating in games and activities.
• Is a team player with strong communication skills.
• Can stay calm, patient, and encouraging while helping children learn and grow.
