Chase Doors is seeking a LEAP Program Associate for Summer 2027 at our Kalamazoo, MI facility. The program blends classroom training, site visits, and on‑the‑job experiences to build core engineering and leadership competencies.

Overview

We are searching for a LEAP Program Associate – Starting Summer 2027 with an electrical engineering degree at our Kalamazoo, MI facility.


Responsibilities


  • Gain a strong understanding of the market through classroom training, process shadows, on the job experience, and production site visits.

  • Develop and strengthen competencies required for your role and as an employee at Senneca.

  • Take ownership to identify trends and recommend solutions to manage business challenges.

  • Lead and/or participate in projects: define objectives, develop project plans, create agendas, facilitate meetings, manage timelines and deliverables, communicate updates, create contingency plans.

  • Complete financial and/or data analysis as required (based on project or rotation).

  • Accountable for delivering superior customer service (internally or externally as required).

  • Interact with various levels of corporate leadership, customers, vendors/suppliers, and employees to solve problems. Implement actions that protect company assets and profitability.

  • Enhance ability to effectively communicate, influence and interact with all types of customers, contractors and co-workers.

  • Develop conflict resolution and relationship management skills.

  • Must be self‑started and remain current with industry and macroeconomic trends by reading publications; highly motivated.


Requirements


  • Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to navigate ambiguity and drive meaningful results.

  • Strong academic record.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Previous internship and/or co‑op experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking, leadership, business acumen, project management, relationship building and teamwork experience through extracurricular activities, work experience or academics.

  • Willingness to relocate as business need requires.
