Job summary

Parker Hannifin (Baldwin Filters), a brand within Parker Engine Mobile Aftermarket Division, seeks a Plant Team Leader to drive Lean-leaning value streams and develop a high-performing team at our Nebraska facility.

You will oversee daily operations, implement the Parker Lean system, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve quality, safety, and efficiency while reducing costs and lead times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years’ management or supervisory experience.
• Sufficient background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management and inventory control.
• Demonstrated teamwork and teambuilding skills. Ability to assess and develop individual and team skills and capabilities. Promote safety and positive change.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with LEAN teams or leading LEAN teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leading operation of one or more plant value streams and implementing the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy.
• Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and annual expectations.
• Develop and lead associates, employment decisions and performance assessments of an assigned plant value stream(s).
• Lead all aspects of the plant value stream(s) under the direction of the Value Stream Manager, including development and evaluation of associates.
• Create continuous product flow, utilize pull systems, and level workload across shifts.
• Ensure standardized work and processes, safety and 5S compliance.
• Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere; hold regular team meetings and coordinate with other departments.
• Provide cross training and backups from other value streams to ensure smooth operations.
