Job summary

Bombardier US Aerostructures is seeking an Opportunity Leader, Continuous Improvement to lead Lean initiatives across the site. You will drive process improvements, mentor teams, and deliver kaizen events to boost productivity and quality.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in engineering/operations/business, 2+ years in CI, and proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen, plus strong data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or operations management.
  • Proficiency with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other CI methodologies; strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with demonstrated success developing and implementing continuous improvement programs and have leadership experience within a manufacturing/maintenance environment.
  • Proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and influence the development and implementation of Lean business practices across the organization to enhance growth, productivity, and quality
  • Partner with site leadership to implement the company's Lean Enterprise system and ensure best practices in processes, systems, and customer service
  • Develop, execute, and maintain transformation plans, including leading kaizen events, knowledge sharing, and mentoring future Lean practitioners
  • Analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of process improvements and monitor progress
  • Deliver coaching and training on Lean principles, continuous improvement tools, and problem-solving techniques
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovative ideas and proactive problem-solving among employees
