Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator on 1st shift in Sedalia, MO to drive the transition from traditional batch manufacturing to Lean/SPS and improve throughput by eliminating waste.

You will lead kaizen events, implement 5S and standard work, support visual boards, train staff, and collaborate with the CI Manager to sustain gains across the facility. The role requires at least two years in manufacturing, strong analytical and communication skills, and a

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in manufacturing environment.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to develop valuable process maps.
• Ability to manage assigned projects.
• Willingness to take risks on solutions and decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to facilitate and communicate at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean/SPS initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Implement visual manufacturing boards throughout the facility.
• Perform 5S audits to sustain improvements.
• Sustain gains from Kaizen events.
• Function as a change agent.
• Ensure standard work is implemented with clear work instructions.
• Support follow-up efforts from Kaizen events.
• Collaborate with CI Manager and leaders.
• Overtime may be required.
