Job summary

The Wonderful Company LLC in Bakersfield, CA seeks a Continuous Improvement Lean Practitioner to lead productivity initiatives across the organization. You will train teams in lean tools, drive PDCA cycles, and coach process owners to eliminate waste and improve equipment reliability.

Travel within California and occasional trips abroad may be required. A BS in engineering or related field and 2–4 years in an operations role are expected, with Lean/Six Sigma experience valued.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in an operations role (Continuous Improvement, Production, or Quality).
• Certification or significant experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of World Class Manufacturing Methodology.
• Superior problem solving and analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative).
• Strong written and presentation skills.
• Knowledgeable in change management and adult learning.
• Travel primarily within California, with occasional trips as needed.

Responsibilities

• Training, coaching, and challenging process owners in lean tools, approaches, and techniques to create sustainable management and measurement systems.
• Lean Tools Facilitation: Facilitate team use of lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, PDCA) and identify waste.
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects to ensure on-time delivery and quality using internal and external resources.
• Process Improvement: Investigate and analyze production methods to identify improvements that drive efficiency and reduce waste.
• Best Practices: Seek out and implement best practices across sites.
