Job summary

Merola Tile is seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Production Manager to oversee mosaic tile production, sample boards, and merchandising materials. You will drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all stages of the process, partnering with design, procurement, and sales to align output with forecasts and launches.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in production or manufacturing management, strong Lean/Six Sigma experience, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production or manufacturing management (tile or building materials industry preferred).
• Lean and Six Sigma experience.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, order fulfillment, packaging, and process optimization.
• Experience in evaluating and improving packaging processes based on return data and customer feedback.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/production planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mosaic tile production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time order fulfillment.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet forecasts and demand.
• Maximize order fulfillment output while maintaining accuracy and minimizing defects.
• Collaborate with design and procurement teams for material availability and usage.
• Manage production of samples and merchandising tools for sales and marketing.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align production with launches.
• Define and manage merchandising budgets (materials, labor, shipping).
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement; champion safety and quality control.
