Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Supplier Development and Quality Engineer to mature our supplier base through lean applications and Six Sigma. You will drive wing-to-wing improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost, collaborating with Sourcing, Engineering and Operations to align with customer expectations.

The role emphasizes process development, capacity planning, and data-driven problem solving, with Kaizen events, VSM, and standard work.

Qualifications

• US-based candidates only; Bachelor’s degree in Quality or related engineering field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Management or Manufacturing Operations.
• Knowledge of Quality Sciences: APQP, problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, PDCA.
• Proven lean experience: Kaizen events, Lean tools (VSM, A3 Thinking, Gauge R&R, SMED, 5S, Daily/Visual Management, Standard Work).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier development and assist suppliers toward QA excellence.
• Provide technical expertise in Process Development, Capacity Planning, Inventory Management to meet GE Vernova demand.
• Drive Value Stream Analysis and Kaizens with key suppliers for strategic goals.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving with Project Quality, Engineering and Suppliers.
• Deploy Supplier Development Procedures region-wide and support continuous improvement actions.
