Job summary

GE Vernova in Atlanta, GA seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to mature our supplier base through Lean and Six Sigma, driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost. You will lead cross-functional work with Suppliers, Sourcing, Engineering and Operations to implement OTD, quality and sourcing initiatives aligned with customer expectations.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, Lean/Six Sigma experience, and the ability to travel up to 60% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, mechanical, electrical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in quality management and manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of APQP, problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, and root-cause analysis.
• Proven lean experience: Kaizen events and lean tools (VSM, A3, Gauge R&R, SMED, 5S, visual/standard work).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality registration.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; willing to travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier development and assist key suppliers toward QA excellence.
• Provide technical expertise in process development, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Lead value stream analyses and Kaizen events with suppliers to meet strategic goals.
• Drive quality improvements using lean tools and validate results with measurable metrics.
• Collaborate with Project Quality, Engineering, and Suppliers on cross-functional problem solving.
• Lead data-driven decisions using analysis of NCRs, DPPM, and DMR trends.
• Support training of internal staff on supplier lean improvements and standard work.
• Deploy GE Vernova’s supplier development procedures regionally and review processes for continuous improvement.
