Job summary

Johnson & Johnson, a global leader in Innovative Medicine and MedTech, seeks an Operational Excellence Specialist for its Wilson, NC site. You will identify opportunities, deploy process excellence methods, and drive “Right the First Time” improvements across manufacturing processes.

You will lead value stream initiatives, mentor teams, and collaborate with production leadership to sustain continuous improvement and meet performance targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science required.
• 3+ years in Operations/GET/MSAT/Planning/Project Management.
• 1–2 years in continuous improvement/lean function.
• Experience leading projects.
• Business and financial acumen to translate strategy into value.
• Knowledge of JJPS/Production system and RCPS.
• Track record delivering key projects.
• Experience in workshop facilitation.
• Ability to collaborate in a matrix environment.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Results-oriented.
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Execute JJPS initiatives and the Culture of Excellence at the site.
• Value stream mapping and implement improvement plans to deliver reliability for brands.
• Lead CIP pipeline, ideation workshops, diagnostics, benchmarks, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Site Performance Management: analyze data to identify improvements and monitor processes.
• Lead site/global programs like Smart Change Over & OEE Program, Golden Batch, etc.
• Capability Building: train and certify personnel in Lean/Six Sigma.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and collaborate with partners to implement improvements.
