Job summary

Unimacts Global in Sloan, NV is hiring a Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead data-driven improvement initiatives across steel fabrication, solar pile and galvanizing lines. You’ll apply Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen to boost productivity, quality and cost performance.

You’ll analyze key metrics, conduct root-cause analyses, build ROI cases, train supervisors on standard work, and drive sustained improvements from the shop floor to the plant level.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of continuous improvement or manufacturing engineering experience in steel fabrication or related metalworking
• Proven track record leading Lean or Six Sigma projects with quantified cost, quality, or throughput improvements
• Green Belt certification required; Black Belt preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead data analysis and report plant performance daily.
• Conduct root-cause analysis using DMAIC, 5-Why, and fishbone methods.
• Develop systems to digitalize on-ground operations (inventory, engineering, maintenance).
• Track OEE, scrap, cycle time, and cost-per-unit; build improvement pipeline.
• Apply 5S and visual management; audit sustainment after changes.
• Build business cases, ROI tracking for improvements and capital requests.
• Train and coach supervisors/operators on Lean tools.
• Report savings, project status, and roadmap to Plant Manager.
• Spearhead new plant improvements and projects.
• Develop feasibility studies for customer NPIs.
• Develop process automations for communication and workflow.
• Propose PFMEA and PFD for operations; analyze defects with Quality
