Job summary

Silgan Closures is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer at our Evansville, Indiana plant to lead lean initiatives in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role focuses on driving process improvements, Kaizen events, and standard work implementation to deliver sustainable performance gains.

You will coordinate projects, train leadership and shop-floor personnel, and develop data-driven reports to communicate findings and measure impact across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing or industrial production environment.
• 2+ years of experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
• Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and standard work principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and drive continuous improvement projects from planning through implementation.
• Develop, deliver, and support Lean Six Sigma programs focused on operational excellence.
• Facilitate problem-solving activities, Kaizen events, TPM initiatives, value stream mapping, 5S, and standard work implementation.
• Assess current manufacturing processes to identify waste, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Analyze operational and statistical data and communicate findings through reports and presentations.
• Train plant leadership and manufacturing employees on new processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Measure and validate results of improvement initiatives to ensure sustainable performance gains.
