Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to deploy Lean methods and lead Six Sigma projects in MV switchgear production. You will design layouts, manage fabrication tooling, and optimize epoxy coating/paint lines while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role partners with engineers, maintenance, and operators to solve problems, implement improvements, and drive continuous safety enhancements under Schneider Production System principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related field required.
• Proficiency with sheet metal and bus fabrication machinery.
• Proficiency in CAD, SAP, MS Excel and MS Access (or SQL).
• Knowledge of epoxy coating and paint processes.
• Experience in value stream mapping, line architecture design, NC programming, and maintenance.
• Understanding of safety and regulatory requirements for LOTO, OSHA, EPA, and SE165.
• Robotics programming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Specify, acquire, set up, operate, and maintain metal fabrication for MV switchgear production.
• Oversee sheet metal and bus fabrication using turret punching, laser cutting, press brake bending, and welding machinery.
• Perform process design/layout, mechanical, manufacturing, tooling, and safety work.
• Manage epoxy coating and paint processes.
• Develop value stream maps, line architecture, NC programming, and maintenance.
• Ensure safety/regulatory compliance incl. LOTO/OSHA/EPA/SE165.
