Job summary

Century Aluminum Sebree in Robards, KY is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to identify and implement Lean Six Sigma driven changes across operations, safety and quality. This role partners with Operations, HSE, Sales and HR to develop and sustain Lean and Six Sigma systems and manage a portfolio of improvement projects aligned with the site's strategic goals.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, deliver training, analyze data, measure performance, and report results to leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 3 years' experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Black Belt Certification required.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Integrity and results-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Learn and embrace Century Aluminum's Safety Mission.
• Act as funnel and integrator of Lean, Six Sigma, and IPT initiatives.
• Evaluate processes to identify inefficiencies using mapping and data analysis.
• Develop and implement improvement strategies using Lean and Six Sigma.
• Lead cross-functional projects with timely completion and measurable results.
• Develop and deliver training on continuous improvement concepts and tools.
• Collect and analyze data to measure performance and report progress to leadership.
• Act as a change agent fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Coordinate plans and select participants for Business Improvement projects.
• Manage lean resources, including consultants.
• Maintain knowledge and share best practices in lean methods.
