Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead site-wide lean initiatives and drive operational excellence in the Military Aircraft Group. You will coach leaders, run Kaizen events, and embed standard work while partnering with across functions to deliver measurable gains.

The role requires 7+ years of leadership, 5+ years in operations or business improvement, and a strong track record in Lean Six Sigma methodologies; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations, or another relevant technical discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Progressive levels of accountability in operations, manufacturing, or business improvement.
• 7+ years of leadership experience, including coaching high-performing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Lean manufacturing and operational excellence strategies with measurable results.
• Strong critical-thinking, strategic thinking, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work without sponsorship.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a continuous improvement team and promote the organization's values.
• Partner with site leadership to identify, prioritize, and deliver improvement opportunities.
• Develop and deploy a site-wide CI strategy based on performance and growth.
• Lead Kaizen events, value-stream mapping, process reviews, and problem-solving activities.
• Establish standard work, visual management, and governance for improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and engagement.
• Use data to monitor progress and demonstrate impact of improvements.
• Coach leaders in lean principles and root-cause analysis across the site.
• Lead cross-functional reviews to sustain implemented actions.
