Job summary

Morgan Truck Body seeks a Quality Engineer to lead the Morgan Quality System across factory and corporate levels, using Lean methods to drive improvements and elevate manufacturing standards. You will embed best practices into standard work and partner with teams to ensure top-tier quality.

Responsibilities include collaborating with customers, mentoring quality staff, conducting audits, developing testing procedures, and maintaining consistent quality across raw materials and finished goods

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quality engineering and 1–2 years of team leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and engineering drawings; strong measurement skills.
• Experience applying Lean principles to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Morgan Quality System across factory and corporate levels.
• Embed best practices and standardized work into quality and manufacturing strategy.
• Partner with customers to understand expectations for high-volume orders.
• Champion Lean strategies: straight-through flow, single-piece flow, cycle-time variation reduction.
• Develop testing procedures and maintain quality standards for materials and products.
• Mentor and train quality team members to improve shop-floor practices.
• Lead cross-plant problem-solving, investigate warranty claims, and drive CAPA.
• Monitor quality systems, document results, and report insights to leadership.
• Audit internal processes and communicate audit findings to stakeholders.
• Ensure consistent quality across multiple production builds.
