Job summary

Morgan Truck Body is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive the Morgan Quality System across factory and corporate levels. You will lead quality improvements using Lean methodologies and embed best practices into the manufacturing strategy to ensure top-tier results.

The role requires 5+ years in quality engineering and 1–2 years of team leadership, with hands-on experience in reading blueprints, quality tools, and implementing CAPA. Travel to Morgan facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Weld Engineering certification a plus.
• 5+ years in quality engineering and 1–2 years of team leadership experience.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Morgan facilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Customers to understand expectations and support complex/high-volume orders.
• Champion Lean Practices by implementing lean strategies and reducing cycle time variation.
• Drive Quality Excellence by maintaining standards for raw materials and finished products and refining testing procedures.
• Lead and develop teams through guidance, mentoring, and training on shop-floor practices.
• Resolve Quality Challenges with cross-plant problem-solving and CAPA actions.
• Analyze Quality Performance by monitoring systems and communicating insights to leadership.
• Strengthen Quality Standards by developing, updating, and validating quality standards and standard work.
• Conduct Quality Audits and address findings; report to stakeholders.
• Ensure Plant Consistency by coordinating across Morgan facilities for quality across builds.
