Job summary

Butterball is seeking a Plant Operations Leader to guide day-to-day production at a North Carolina facility. You will oversee a team, drive safety culture, and implement Lean and BOSS-driven improvements to meet KPIs and quality standards.

Responsibilities include coaching teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to optimize throughput and costs. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years relevant experience; 2+ years leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities of a team of individual contributors and/or supervisors.
• Provides guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful delivery of team goals.
• Ensures adherence to safety policies and regulatory guidelines (USDA, OSHA, HACCP).
• Drives process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives with cross-functional partners.
• Oversees budgeting, cost improvements, and optimal use of labor and equipment.
• Monitors KPIs such as safety, efficiency, waste, downtime, and quality.
