Job summary

Butterball is seeking a seasoned Plant Operations Leader to guide and execute strategic manufacturing goals across its NC facilities. You will ensure on-time delivery, safety, quality, and cost efficiency while driving continuous improvement in a complex production environment.

The role requires strong leadership, HR and project management skills, with a focus on optimizing operations, implementing process improvements, and maintaining regulatory compliance within a dynamic food manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of entry to established level individual contributors and/or supervisors; provides guidance, coaching, and support to ensure department goals are met.
• Ensures operations comply with regulations, policies, quality standards, and contractual obligations while maximizing yields and minimizing costs.
• Collaborates with leadership to plan equipment availability and short- to mid-term plant strategies.
• Identifies opportunities for cost reductions and optimizes customer service delivery.
• Evaluates production reports to ensure quality, financial, and safety targets are met and develops corrective actions.
• Promotes training and development opportunities to upgrade talent within the team.
• Oversees safety programs and health initiatives for team members.
• Manages overall operating budget in line with business plans.
• Participates in safety audits and incident investigations as needed.
