Job summary

Schneider Electric in the United States is seeking a Production Manager to lead and optimize electro‑mechanical manufacturing operations. The role focuses on safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control while driving Lean initiatives and continuous improvement across the plant.

You will own the production schedule, coordinate with planning, supply chain, engineering, and quality to meet start dates and delivery commitments, and mentor teams to achieve performance targets and standard

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 8–10 years in industrial equipment, machinery, or electro‑mechanical manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of production leadership experience.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Proven Lean manufacturing implementation experience and Kaizen leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production supervisors and promote safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Own daily/weekly production schedule execution, labor allocation, and on-time completion.
  • Identify and resolve labor, material, engineering, quality, equipment, and capacity constraints.
  • Lead daily production and tiered accountability meetings (safety, quality, delivery, cost, staffing).
  • Oversee electro‑mechanical manufacturing activities including assembly, wiring, testing, and packing.
  • Ensure manufacture according to drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and specs.
  • Manage production performance with metrics: schedule attainment, productivity, labor efficiency, first-pass yield, scrap, overtime.
  • Lead Lean and Kaizen events (5S, standard work, visual management, value-stream mapping).
  • Optimize cells, staffing, equipment flow, and processes for safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Inventory Control and Supply Chain for material availability and shortages.
  • Ensure accurate ERP transactions for work orders, movements, and inventory adjustments.
  • Partner with HR on hiring, training, evaluations, and development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
