Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise a multi-tier team in a lean manufacturing Inspection Center. You will oversee daily operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high quality and cost objectives are met.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of management experience in automotive or lean environments, strong leadership, and a proven ability to deliver results while maintaining safety and compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning.
• Participate in strategic planning and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Foster a positive communication, team cohesion, and Carvana values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Coordinate training and certification processes for staff.
• Mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity and assist with planning.
• Maintain health, safety, and loss prevention compliance.
• Provide vision and guidance to meet performance metrics.
• Engage the team to focus on quality, production, and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
