Job summary

Sargent Manufacturing seeks a Production Manager for the Exits Division to lead on-site manufacturing in New Haven, CT. You will drive safety, quality, and delivery, guiding Kaizen events and Lean initiatives to improve processes and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading Kaizen events, Lean initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
• Proven ability to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of quality systems and operational metrics.
• Experience managing production schedules and achieving on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead all production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Schedule and execute production to ensure on-time commitments.
• Champion continuous improvement with Kaizen events and Lean methods.
• Provide operations leadership for Exits manufacturing processes and troubleshooting.
• Drive issue resolution through root cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Optimize equipment, workflows, and process documentation to reduce waste.
