Sargent Manufacturing in New Haven, CT seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead Exits operations on site. You will drive safety, quality and on-time delivery while leading Kaizen and Lean improvements across manufacturing processes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership, with strong problem-solving and team development skills to sustain operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading Kaizen events and Lean initiatives.
• Proven problem-solving using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Strong metrics focus on safety, quality, delivery and productivity.

Responsabilités

• Lead all production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost goals.
• Manage scheduling and execution to ensure on-time customer commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen and Lean initiatives.
• Serve as operational/technical leader for Exits processes; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Root-cause issues and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Optimize equipment effectiveness, workflows and process documentation.
• Provide leadership for powder coating and polishing operations; ensure quality and safety.
• Monitor KPIs: productivity, scrap, rework, throughput, utilization, on-time delivery.
• Coach and mentor production staff to improve performance and engagement.
• Foster safety, quality and operational excellence; ensure compliance with specs and standards.
