Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Virginia seeks a CI intern to gain hands-on experience in process improvement under the Quality/Engineering Manager. You will analyze data to identify efficiency gains and assist in documenting current processes and SOPs.

You will participate in cross-functional teams, help track KPIs, and support the creation of training materials on new processes and tools in a manufacturing setting. This internship offers exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen practices.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree program majoring in supply chain, LEAN, continuous improvement or related is required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• Proficiency in Visio is preferred.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis and stakeholder input.
• Join cross-functional teams to develop and implement improvement initiatives.
• Document current processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
• Track and report on key performance indicators to measure the success of improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with team members to develop training materials and deliver training sessions on new processes and tools.
