Job summary

Valmont in Brenham, TX is seeking an on-site Lean Coordinator to support Lean teams and leaders through coaching, training, data management and analysis. You will help justify projects, act as a liaison between team leaders, support groups and management, and identify obstacles that may affect performance.

The role emphasizes improving office processes with Lean tools, requires strong interaction skills, and involves delivering weekly and monthly updates to the Lean Manager and Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• A demonstrated understanding of Lean principles and methodology.
• The ability to speak in front of a group of co-workers or visitors.
• Working knowledge of standard office software and data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coach Lean events (5S, Standard Work) and coordinate Lean activities.
• Calculate and maintain Lean-related measures, maintain records and visual boards.
• Create and update Standard Work documents.
• Prepare and deliver weekly/monthly updates to the Lean Manager and Brenham Plant Manager.
• Provide Lean training as necessary.
• Collaborate with teams and management to remove obstacles and improve performance.
• Other duties as directed or assigned.
