Job summary

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) - Division of Water seeks a Lean Continuous Improvement Manager to lead modernization of permitting and business processes. You will evaluate workflows, design improvements, and implement Lean methods to increase efficiency, transparency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Completion of a professional continuous improvement certification such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Four years’ experience in performing continuous improvement work reviewing, evaluating, and making recommendations for improvements to processes, products, and services.
• Three years’ experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, impact or root cause analysis and recommending improvements.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and recommends improvements to state processes, products, and services by identifying opportunities and measuring results.
• Uses PDCA, A3, and DMAIC methods to plan, analyze, and control improvements.
• Partners with customers, process owners, management, and end users to develop business process models and workflows.
• Maintains communication and delivers high quality, timely communications.
• Prepares reports documenting findings, supporting facts, and recommendations.
