Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Lean Manager I to support the Operating Group and Project Teams in defining and executing Lean Innovation agendas and Project Standard Work, while interacting with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment.

The role focuses on coaching teams, applying continuous improvement, and promoting lean practices across multiple projects, with up to 75% travel to various job sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and field experience.
• Minimum of six years' construction or manufacturing experience.
• Minimum three years' experience applying continuous improvement in construction/manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Create partnerships with project leadership to gain buy-in for lean approaches.
• Coach teams to apply continuous improvement and 5S practices onsite.
• Promote lean principles and identify opportunities for improvements across projects.
• Prepare for and lead improvement events with group and project leaders.
• Develop Production Preparation Process for new scopes of work.
• Measure performance and track improvements across projects for visibility.
