Job summary

Placements24 is helping a client fill the role of Process Industrial Engineer in George, GA. This hybrid position combines on-site collaboration with remote work to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and drive operational excellence.

You will work with manufacturing teams to implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and process simulations, develop SOPs, and monitor KPIs to sustain performance gains across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in an Industrial Engineering or manufacturing engineering role.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
• Experience with process simulation and statistical analysis software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current production workflows to identify efficiency and throughput improvements.
• Design and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment layouts to optimize space and workflow.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping to streamline operations.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for key processes.
• Collaborate with production staff and management to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs and generate reports on process performance and improvement initiatives.
