Ford Motor Company in Michigan is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join the Livonia Transmission Plant team, focusing on the 8F and 10R gear machining lines. This onsite, full‑time role aims to deliver lean, flexible manufacturing systems that power Ford Tough trucks and SUVs.

You'll collaborate with OEMs, suppliers and internal teams to optimize quality, cost, timing and footprint, support equipment installation and handover, and travel up to 50% across SE Michigan and Lima/Cleveland

Competenze

Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
3+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience.
Experience reading GD&T on engineering drawings.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Principles and Six Sigma.
Customer-focused problem solving.

Mansioni

Support development and implementation of Gears and related Round Parts manufacturing systems for new powertrain programs in Michigan.
Utilize machining process knowledge to optimize quality, cost, timing and footprint.
Support equipment installation, start-up, run capability, and handover.
Initiate bids and work with Purchasing to procure equipment.
Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers, Product and Plant engineering to resolve issues.
Coordinate facilities, safety, ergonomics, material handling, tooling and gauging.
Support discrete event simulation for constraint analysis with IE to improve throughput.
Travel up to 50% for projects with OEMs and suppliers.
