Job summary

Modine in Jefferson City, MO is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily production operations and implement Lean/Six Sigma practices. You will drive safety, quality, cost control and continuous improvement while coaching a diverse workforce.

The role collaborates with site leadership to align plans with strategic goals and customer needs, overseeing KPI-driven performance and lean transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, HVAC/metals/industrial equipment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methods; continuous improvement focus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with manufacturing software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Promote and lead DMS, lean principles and daily management to ensure efficient operations.
• Develop and coach hourly and salaried workforce through coaching and mentoring.
• Supervise Production Supervisors and skilled labor; foster safety and teamwork.
• Drive safety commitments, OSHA compliance and risk assessments as part of DMS.
• Oversee production plans, cost control, capital planning and KPI monitoring.
• Lead process improvements to reduce waste and improve quality and throughput.
