Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of Industrial Engineering, Lean Material Strategies, supply chain, material operations, manufacturing, or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or assembly with lean systems and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of material flow, kitting, sequencing, routing, storage, and internal material handling systems.
  • Experience supporting PFEP development, standardized work, and launch or change management activities.
  • Working knowledge of work measurement, predetermined time studies, or labor analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work through all 3 shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and overtime as needed.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lean material system strategies that improve material flow and reduce waste.
  • Define and optimize part presentation methods including kitting, sequencing, and presentation devices.
  • Support PFEP development and lead station-by-station reviews for delivery methods and material handling.
  • Create and maintain accurate material flow data, routings, and tracking documentation.
  • Develop layouts and space utilization plans for lineside presentation and storage areas using CAD tools.
  • Lead or support launch of new programs and material strategy changes.
  • Drive labor optimization through work measurement and route planning.
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, and engineering teams on material delivery solutions.
  • Analyze operations to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements for throughput and ergonomics.
  • Ensure material systems align with safety and quality requirements.
  • Coach teams in standardized LMS processes and lean principles.
  • Work as one team to drive accountability and results.
