Job summary

Volvo Cars is seeking a PSCE Material Flow Engineer to lead optimal introduction of new products and changes within in-plant logistics. You will define business requirements for IT systems in plant logistics and design transport flow between suppliers, logistics providers, and the plant.

The role demands a bachelor in industrial/logistics engineering and at least 3 years in material flow engineering; strong analytical skills, Excel, AutoCAD, and ability to work across international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, logistics, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in material flow engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of material flow systems and processes.
• Ability to work independently and in international teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead introduction of new products and changes in in-plant logistics.
• Define business requirements for IT systems in plant logistics.
• Design optimal transport flow between suppliers, providers, and the plant.
• Develop work instructions for logistics operators.
• Lead process optimization initiatives and kaizen studies.
• Deploy VCMS principles within in-plant logistics.
