Job summary

Volvo Cars in the United States is seeking a PSCE Material Flow Engineer to optimize in-plant logistics, lead new product introductions, and design efficient material flows from dock to point of use. You will develop requirements for IT systems, train stakeholders, and drive Lean Materials initiatives while collaborating across regions and functions.

The role emphasizes analytical problem-solving, independent work, and strong Excel/AutoCAD skills to support HPV targets and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, logistics or related field.
• At least 3 years in material flow engineering in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of material flow systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead introduction of new products and changes in in-plant logistics.
• Define business requirements for IT systems in logistics.
• Develop detailed multi-month implementation plans.
• Design optimal transport flow between suppliers, providers and plant.
• Create work instructions for logistics operators and support kaizen.
