Job summary

Twin Disc, a global leader in power transmission technology, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Production Supervisor to lead machining and assembly operations. You will direct daily production activities, develop employees, and uphold safety and quality standards while driving continuous improvement.

You will plan workloads, monitor KPIs, collaborate with planning and engineering teams, and champion Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in machining, assembly, powertrain, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred.
• Knowledge of production planning and scheduling processes.
• Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety requirements, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily activities of production employees in machining and assembly operations.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign work to ensure production schedules, quality requirements, and customer commitments are met.
• Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and equipment utilization to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Partner with Production Planning and other operational departments to achieve manufacturing objectives.
• Participate in daily management meetings and communicate departmental performance, issues, and priorities.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of 15-30 production employees.
• Facilitate employee training and skill development initiatives.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support skill-based advancement programs.
• Promote employee engagement through effective communication, recognition, and accountability.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, disciplinary actions, performance management, and other employment decisions.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
• Analyze production and operational data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Recommend and implement enhancements to production methods, equipment, workflows, and operating procedures.
• Track and manage departmental KPIs, visual management boards, and continuous improvement activities.
