Job summary

GPC is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee value-added fabrication and coordinate daily production activities for a team of 2–5 employees. The role focuses on achieving schedules and quality targets while promoting a safe, organized work environment.

The position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage schedules, staffing, and lean improvement initiatives to support customer satisfaction and operational goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 5–10 years of related experience.
• Strong leadership, decision making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and listening.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to motivate and develop others and handle conflict while maintaining self-control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, organized, respectful, productive work environment that promotes teamwork.
• Communicate and execute production schedules; manage daily activities of 2–5 direct reports.
• Utilize ERP, warehouse management, and scheduling systems proficiently.
• Develop reports by regularly communicating standards and expectations and holding the team accountable.
• Discuss business unit needs and improve projects with operations management and technical services.
• Create and improve department processes using lean manufacturing tools and methods.
• Actively develops and motivates employees to create an invested and sustainable workforce.
• Ensure adherence to appropriate certification programs.
• May respond to emergencies as a trainer First Responder.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
