Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead the operation, improve efficiency, and drive safe, on-time production. You will mentor teams, implement Lean-Sigma initiatives, and ensure KPI targets are met across safety, quality, and productivity.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field with 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, plus strong interpersonal skills and a passion for continuous improvement. Salary aligns with U.S. market norms.

Qualifications

  • BS degree required in engineering or related practical fields; business or organizational management also acceptable.
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts.
  • Managerial courage with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong focus on safety first, followed by quality.
  • Lean-Six Sigma Green belt preferred. SAP desired.

Responsibilities

  • Creates, implements and drives safety initiatives to foster an accident-free culture.
  • Ensures safety commitment and engagement from all associates with open dialogue.
  • Exceeds product quality expectations while meeting on-time manufacturing and design specs.
  • Manages safety, production quantity, customer service, defects, waste, and work order attainment as KPI owners.
  • Leads and mentors cell coordinators and teams to ensure proper skills and performance.
  • Ensures resources are available and utilized; promotes continuous development of hourly associates.
  • Leads 6S activities and enforces a data-driven improvement culture.
  • Collaborates across departments to optimize manpower, materials, and equipment usage and improve productivity and quality.
  • Drives Kaizen events and lean improvements; communicates decisions and supports operator-led initiatives.
