Job summary

Harmon is seeking a motivated Continuous Improvement Intern to join our team this summer. You will learn from experienced leaders, gain hands-on manufacturing experience, and work on projects that drive operational excellence across the business.

Under the guidance of the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will support Lean thinking, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
• Junior or Senior standing preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean Manufacturing and CI initiatives across production ops.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Analyze data and identify opportunities to improve inventory, quality, throughput and material flow.
• Participate in problem-solving and root-cause analysis activities.
• Assist with process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation.
• Support implementation and tracking of improvement projects.
• Create reports and visual tools to communicate progress.
• Work with team members to drive continuous improvement.
