Job summary

Marmon Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Lean Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern to support Lean deployment across the Marmon Transportation Group. You will promote continuous improvement methods, work with all levels of staff, and help drive safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvements.

The role emphasizes development, cross-functional collaboration, and exposure to transformation projects. Office tools proficiency and the ability to travel will be essential as you engage with multiple

Qualifications

Energy, enthusiasm, and initiative to create programs and drive outcomes.
Ability to travel 20-50%.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Smartsheets).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with local team to identify process gaps and implement process improvement activities to achieve dramatic improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development.
Management of the lean transformational activities and projects at a plant.
Collaborate with automation team to optimize process before automating and help build the justification for automation projects.
Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen/Impact Events through all stages (A3 charter ideation, pre-work, delivery, sustainment).
Provide formal and informal training, coaching, and mentoring to employees.
Establish and implement performance measures; provide regular data reports.
