Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, optimize, and sustain steel fabrication and assembly processes. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while supporting modular construction components.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering with hands-on fabrication experience and a passion for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering required.
• Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, Revit) is expected.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and SPC experience needed.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills required.
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve workflow across fabrication, powder coating, assembly, and MEC integration.
• Design, build and modify tooling, fixtures, and equipment to meet specs.
• Develop new process flows to support product launches and startup.
• Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, control plans, and PFMEAs.
• Lead root cause analyses and corrective actions for process issues.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality for new product introductions.
• Plan Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Monitor KPIs like first pass yield, cycle time, and scrap rate.
