Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Engineer to support PA manufacturing operations, focusing 80% on Manufacturing Engineering and 20% on Lean/CI initiatives. You will drive process improvements, reduce waste, and implement practical solutions that deliver measurable results on the production floor.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing, and strong Lean skills (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Standard Work).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Hands-on Lean/CI leadership and implementation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Lean tools: 5S, Kaizen, VSM, Standard Work.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with SAP and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Six Sigma certification or related experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations through process development and improvements.
• Design and improve methods, tooling, cells, and layouts.
• Develop work instructions and process documentation for quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Materials to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Lead Lean/CI initiatives using 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and cost reduction.
• Lead cross-functional CI projects from concept to implementation.
