Job summary

Taco Family of Companies in Cranston, RI seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods. You will design processes, support tooling, and collaborate across design, production, and supply chain to enhance throughput and reduce costs.

The role emphasizes Lean initiatives, DFM/DFA considerations, and hands-on improvement of machining, plastics processing, assembly, and material handling. Onsite work with a strong focus on efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years in manufacturing; capable of planning, coordinating, evaluating, and improving processes.
• LEAN manufacturing experience with Kaizen events and cost reduction.
• ISO 9000 experience; strong CAD skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing manufacturing activities to meet delivery and financial targets.
• Analyze and implement process improvements and cost-reductions.
• Lead Lean activities such as Kaizen events and mistake-proofing.
• Troubleshoot high-priority manufacturing issues related to output, quality, tooling, and materials.
• Provide data and analyses to management and direct support to machine operators.
• Work with Supply Chain and Engineering teams to develop new production techniques and equipment.
