AMETEK, Inc. with its IntelliPower unit in San Diego seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You will lead Lean-based improvements, mentor teams, and work with cross-functional groups to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.

The role emphasizes developing standards, training, and Kaizen events to accelerate performance while focusing on critical equipment reliability in a high-mix electronics environment.

Qualifikationen

• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years electronics manufacturing engineering experience.
• Able to read specifications and drawings, understand PCB design and test fixtures.

Aufgaben

• Apply Lean principles and Best Practices to set assembly/test work instructions to save productivity, improve quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Quality to design CI strategies aligned with plant goals.
• Lead cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency initiatives.
• Drive rapid improvements in a fast-paced environment using strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Develop SOPs and training for assembly teams; create workflow diagrams to reduce lead times.
• Mentor teams in Lean methods and tools across projects.
• Identify Kaizens and CI events; work with managers and operators to implement improvements.
• Improve equipment reliability, focusing on bottlenecks and critical assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
