Job summary

Ford Energy is a newly formed subsidiary of Ford Motor Company focused on scalable battery energy storage systems. The role leads the design of the Ford Energy Production System, seeking standardized work, line balancing, and safe, high-throughput processes.

You will mentor teams on lean principles, drive capacity planning, and optimize layout and labor standards for cell, module, and pack assembly in a dynamic Greenfield setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related Engineering field.
• Experience in high-volume production or automotive/battery manufacturing.
• Experience with CAD, MODAPTS, and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead FEPS design and implementation for standardized work and line balancing.
• Develop labor standards and manpower requirements for cell, module, and pack assembly.
• Analyze constraints and perform cycle time analysis to improve CPM and throughput.
• Design station layouts with CAD, tooling, and Poka-Yoke for first-time-through quality.
• Conduct ergonomic evaluations and ensure safety in high-speed automated production.
• Mentor Production teams on lean principles and waste elimination.
