Ford Energy, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, is hiring for a leader to design and optimize high-volume production lines for US energy storage systems. You will drive FEPS deployment, labor standards, and efficiency across cell, module, and pack assembly.

You will mentor teams in lean principles, takt time, and process improvement, while coordinating with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations on safety and throughput goals.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5+ years of progressive experience in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering within a high-volume production environment.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, MODAPTS, and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Startup experience in Greenfield site development or high-volume automotive/battery/electronics manufacturing is highly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design and implementation of the Ford Energy Production System (FEPS), focusing on standardized work, line balancing, and optimized workstation layouts.
• Drive the development of labor standards and manpower requirements for cell, module, and pack assembly.
• Analyze production constraints and conduct equipment cycle time analysis to optimize CPM and overall plant throughput.
• Design and refine station layouts using CAD, integrating tooling, material presentation, and error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) to ensure First Time Through quality.
• Conduct ergonomic job evaluations and implement workstation designs that meet safety standards for high-speed automated production.
• Engage on the production floor to identify bottlenecks and solve manufacturing problems in real-time.
• Develop Leaders as Teachers: coach lean principles, takt vs cycle time, waste elimination.
• Remove barriers: mitigate risks in launch to ensure smooth equipment buy-offs and NMP integration.
