Job summary

Welbilt Inc. in Parsons, TN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

You will analyze production methods, equipment, materials, and workflows to drive continuous improvement across cross-functional teams and support new product introductions. The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and collaboration with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to achieve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with relevant experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills across audiences.
• Experience with process improvements and standard work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work on or lead capital equipment projects and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Document assembly processes, work instructions, procedures, and plant layouts.
• Monitor assembly times and identify improvements for operations staff.
• Maintain MBOM, Product Routings, and Standards.
• Coordinate Engineering Change with Design Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Lead or support capital equipment projects and automation efforts.
• Support NPD and Engineering Change processes through documentation and training.
• Ensure manufacturability and ease of assembly in product designs.
